03 / Approach

How I lead.

Mauricio Tapia with the Volvo commercial team
A gathering with the commercial team. Explore teams and work in the field

Understand before proposing.

Listen to customers and teams, examine the data and understand the operation before choosing a response.

Make strategy executable.

Turn priorities into ownership, indicators and a cadence of follow-up that helps the team move forward.

Develop people and leaders.

Provide context, tools and autonomy to make decisions; hold people accountable for results and turn experience into learning. Build the capacity to solve problems across the team.

Improve continuously.

Review what works, learn from what does not and adjust decisions with evidence and judgment.

04 / Ideas and lessons

the real world.

The next challenge

Build sustainable growth.

I am interested in industrial businesses where commercial leadership can connect strategy, customers, teams and results.

I am motivated by leadership and transformation challenges, and by new ways of working that combine executive experience, market knowledge and AI tools.

I believe in hands-on leadership, clear goals and room to learn. Lasting results require method, trust and leaders who develop others and sustain execution.
